The Kaiju from the Super Robot Anime, UFO Warrior Dai Apolon. They are called Mecha-Beasts(メカ獣 Meka-jū) and are dispatched by the Dazaan Army. Most of them are auto operated while others are piloted by one of the members of Dazaan Army when their aircrafts docks in them. The anime was split into two halfs when the network that it was aired on made changes during the middle of show. While a motif for the Mecha-Beasts wasn’t decided, most of them were based off of animals.
